Littlest Angel

The Littlest Angels Among Us

Eight years ago I spent five weeks in the hospital and in a rehab facility. One of the most heart warming events took place in the rehab facility when three young people with their parents came into my room.

It was a family decision that each Sundays they would visit a nursing

home, a senior home or a rehab center. Many of the patients did not

have people who stopped to visit. It was so warm and thoughtful of this family. The young did not seem to be bothered that some could not see or

hear to well or that their bodies were not in good shape. They got their joy in seeing the smiles of appreciation on those they visited.

Another way to help seniors is to call them or visit them on a daily or weekly

basis to see if they need anything or just to visit. Set up a time to read to them if they have lost their sight. Bake a batch of cookies, get a bottle of juice and sit down and share. It is the little things in life you will be remembered for.
